Description

Our client is a Contract Manufacturer to the Medical Device industry.  The company has a history of successful performance and an equally promising future.  They are filling positions critical to their ongoing success and seeking talented, experienced Quality Engineers. 

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the day to day implementation and monitoring of active projects and their ongoing capabilities (Cpk).  The position includes regular interface with Engineering, Equipment Operators and Assemblers requiring excellent communications skills in both a written and oral form.  Procedures, Work Instructions and Documentation are formatted to the needs of a Medical Device client base which is governed by the requirements of FDA. 

 

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring of existing SPC results to ensure that target process control ranges are being met
• Frequent interface with QA Management and Engineering to define Process Improvement opportunity
• Intimate understanding of Part Drawings, GD&T, and Process Capability procedures 
• Implementation of Procedural change as directed by QA Mgmt. and/or customer need
• Computer generated Process Capability charts, Statistical Process Control (SPC) data management, spreadsheets and other data based presentations 
• Ensures staff and peer understanding of ISO procedures (13485) and works with management to determine, define and implement appropriate training 
• Occasional Supervisory responsibilities directing Quality Technicians

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality or appropriate Engineering field
• Computer literacy with SPC systems and the entire MS Suite of software
• Demonstrable understanding of typical measuring devices and techniques both mechanical and optical
• Strong working knowledge of ISO with a preference for 13485 experience
• Knowledge and/or accreditation in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
• Supervisory experience and skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
